Does Myrtle Beach have a baseball team? If so, who are they and where do they play? When does their season end? I love baseball and would like to go and see them play.!

The Pelicans (an Atlanta Brave affiliate) is the baseball team for MB. They play at the Coastal Federal field on 21st Ave. N (right across from Broadway at the Beach). In 2004, Baseball America rated the Coastal Federal field as the #2 ballpark in the country at the Class-A level. The team began in 1999. I love going to the games...they are always so much fun! If you love baseball and there is a game going on at the time of your visit then you must go! Its not real expensive tickets and the stadium is very nice!

The experience is great with lots of in-game promotions and giveaways. The park is fantastic with excellent sightlines and real grass. One tip: Don%26#39;t park at the ballpark because a lot of foul balls clear the stadium and end up in the parking lot. We always park across the street at Broadway at the Beach, which makes for a great post-game party. For many years, because we are Blue Jays fans, we%26#39;d trip out to the university to watch the MB Blue Jays and later the Hurricanes. It was quaint and fun but nothing beats the Pelicans game experience. Even if they are associated with the Braves!

Thanks for the info guys!! I AM an Atlanta Braves fan!!! I live only about 50 miles from Atlanta(south) and I love to go to games when work permits.

I thought there was a team there so I will make a point to go when i visit MB my next trip. My son lives in Rome, Ga and i have seen a few of the Rome Braves play and I think it is more fun to go to those games than any other!!! Maybe we will do the same about parking and visiting Broadway too
