Landmark Resort

Does anyone have a review or thoughts about the Landmark Resort? We have an updated oceanfront room there for the 4th of July week. Is there any dining/bars within walking distance of the resort? Also, what location has the best firework display for the 4th and what is a good location to see them? Thanks for the input!

You could walk up the beach to 2nd ave pier. This may not be the best show but its good. Driving is crazy on the fourth.Also the beach is one giant firework show.

The Landmark gets some pretty bad reviews, but with their recent improvements, it%26#39;s really getting much better...it%26#39;s not the Marriot, but if you can overlook a few cosmetic details, it%26#39;s a pretty good deal, especially if you want a huge indoor waterpark. And this area has almost too many dining and drinking opportunities within walking distance to mention them all.

But I do kinda pity you being there over the fourth...traffic will be REAL bad so I%26#39;d strongly suggest you just park %26amp; walk.

PS: THe fireworks will be just fine right from your room!

I agree ~ you will be tired of the fireworks by the time you leave the beach. We stayed at the Landmark on the Fourth about 2 years ago. It was a good deal for the price ~ but let me advise you ~ check in early or late ~ b.c check in was crazy. Also unload at the door ~ the carts are few and far between. And the elevators are HORRIBLY slow... Just don%26#39;t be in a hurry when you push that button. However ~ the water items are great. There is a store and an arcade thing that is convienent too. So ~ just kick back ~ park the car and walk every where you need to go. ( If the heat doesn%26#39;t kill you... lol )
