Mrytle Beach Hotel near Sheraton Convetion Center Hotel

I am going to visiting Myrtle Beach for the first time at the end of June 06 for a family reuion, and most of the reunion members are going to be staying at the Sheraton Myrtle B. Convention Center Hotel, the only problem is we can%26#39;t afford to pay the high price for the hotel room, eventhough we get a discount for being in the family reuion group and the reunion is for 2 days. Is there any other comparable hotel that we can choosse from that is nice and clean and near by as there are many activies planned for us upon arrival for the 2 days that we are going to be there. We can afford something for the 2 days around no more than between $65.00 to $75.00 a nite to stay in somewhere near, can anyone suggest anything that would help us have an enjoyable stay and still be affordabe????

A few options that you might want to look at that would still be close to the Sheraton would be the Courtyard by Mariott on 21st Ave N, the LaQuinta just a few blocks from the Mariott, the Hampton at Broadway which is right there at Broadway at the Beach, The Fairfield Inn or Holiday Inn Express which are both right across the street from Broadway at the Beach and behind Planet Hollywood.

None of these places would be ocean front, but not sure if you could find anything ocean front for that price at that time of year. I%26#39;ll check around and see if there is anyplace that I may be missing that may be running some type of a special.....

we are staying there this Sat and Sun nite, booked on Priceline.com for $75.00 per night. You have to bid for a 4-star hotel in the Myrtle Beach area. You can get more advice on biddingfortravel.com.

This is a nice hotel, I stayed there thru priceline back in Dec. 2005.

The only drawback with priceline is that the rooms are non-refundable and non-transferable if you end up not going on the trip.
