We will be in Myrtle Beach during the July 4th week. I noticed that both Barefoot Landing and Broadway on the Beach are having special July 4th fireworks shows. I also noticed from other comments in the forum that traffic will be very crazy at this time and that it is better to walk than to drive somewhere. We will be staying at the Ocean Reef resort. Is there going to be any special July 4th celebrations along the beach? Would we be able to view any fireworks from our resort on that day?

They do a great firework display on the 2nd Ave pier as well. You would not be able to see it from where you are staying but you can drive up to that area, lay some towels down on the beach and enjoy the show. That is definately true about Barefoot %26amp; Broadway being PACKED that night. Enjoy!
