Pit to HH in a day and 1/2.

going to HH next week and want to do it in 2 days. Would like to drive about 7 hours first day and in to HH next morning. Any suggestions on where to stay first day?? thanks

We go from Buffalo through Pittsburgh to HHI so I%26#39;m familiar with the route you will be driving. We usually stay overnight in Statesville N.C. That leaves us about 5 hours driving to HHI the second day. There are many motels right off the interstate in Statesville. If you can,try to get past Charlotte the first day. Charlotte is less than 50 miles south of Statesville. Traffic always seems to improve once you%26#39;re past Charlotte. Enjoy your road trip. A side trip to Columbia or Orangeburg can be a lot of fun. Good luck.
