We have an Adult Coed Softball team coming to Columbia,SC in Mid October for a Weekend tournament. And We all like to come to Myrtle Beach for the week after our tourney. How is the Weather in Mid October? And What hotel or resort wouldn anyone recommend? Close to the party atmosphere or mostly where everything is at?

I LOVE October! The water is still warm , and we get those REALLY clear days....blue skies, white puffy clouds. The long waits and lines have dwindled, its almost like the whole beach is saying...';awwwhhhhhh..';

As for accomodations, if you want to stay OF but still near all the activity, I%26#39;d look at the Breakers Resort (I like the Paradise Tower) or Dayton House. You are right there on the ocean, not far from the downtown area (sorry, the amusement park will have closed by then, but all the shops %26amp; arcades will still be open), and right there at the 21st Ave N area with all the restaurants, snack shops (ice cream %26amp; Starbucks) nitelife, and some shops....then if you go straight up 21st Ave N, you have Broadway at the Beach less than 2 miles from the Breakers...a decent walk, short car ride, or use the local bus service.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully we(the team) will find a nice resort to stay at. But I think one of the players on our team has timeshare and we are going to use that. If anyone knows a great resort on the beach by the fun atmosphere. Let me know.
