Has anyone recently stayed at the King Charles Inn? My fiancee and I are getting married next weekend and are planning on staying here and are a little worried after reading some reviews. Can anyone give any info?

The King Charles is right in the middle of the historic district. The rooms have just been renovated as well as the front desk and the lobby and pool area. I have been down there to check out the rooms in the past few months and they have been nice. They are clean and spacious. As far as romantic I would say to try something else. Some other suggestions would be the Jasmine House Inn or the Indigo Inn they are both right accross the street from the King Charles and are much more intimate and romantic for your wedding night or honeymoon.
