dolphin watching or cruises??

Hi I just booked a 7 night stay at the Sea Island Inn starting July 22nd. woo-woo!!!!! We got the last unit they had for that week which is a 3 bedroom condo, oceanfront. My question is I would love to plan some activities but I don%26#39;t know where to start. I would really like to see some dolphins. Can you just see them from the beach or do you have to take a special cruise?? Also does anyone know where to get literature on the activities and restaurants in the Myrtle Beach area?? Is there a ph # to call?? Thanks in advance.

When you are sitting on your balcony or sitting on the beach just

look out at the ocean and sooner or later you will see dolphins.

Fun to watch. Binoculars help too.

To the left of this screen are lots of Myrtle Beach info.

You will be very happy at the Sea Island. Hurricane Fleet (www.hurricanefleet.com) in Calabash, NC (about 45 min from MB) offers a dolphin cruise and if you go to Calabash, Dockside restaurant has wonderful seafood. Also, Captain Dicks (www.captdicks.com) in Murrells Inlet does a dolphin cruise. Here are some other suggestions on what to do in MB... Broadway at the Beach is a big shopping, entertainment %26amp; dining complex which has paddle boats to ride in the lake, a movie theater, the IMAX theater, a putt-putt course and Ripleys aquarium. The new Coastal Grand Mall is very nice. Of course there%26#39;s the amusement parks, The Pavilion and the Family Kingdom. In North Myrtle Beach there is Alligator Adventure. Across from Broadway at the Beach there is the Nascar Speedpark where you can ride go carts. Dixie Stampede and Medieval Times is dinner and show that is fun for all ages. There are several other shows in the area also which are very good...Legends in Concert, The Palace, The Alabama Theater and Carolina Opry. There is also Pirates of Barefoot Landing and the Jungle Princess which is either a dinner, ghost story, or sightseeing cruise. Their phone number is 800-685-6601. Carolina Jeep Safari is a great tour. It is approx. 3 hours long and the guide will tell you about ghost legends, MB history, animals, etc. On Lake Arrowhead Road in Restaurant Row there is Lazer FX-Lazer tag which is a lazer tag arena (843.467.2229). There is scuba diving at Coastal Scuba in North Myrtle Beach www.coastalscuba.com. Huntington Beach State Park is nice and you can tour the Atalya castle. Also, in Georgetown is the Jolly Rover, a 2 hour pirate adventure, historic sailing tour, that has tales of plank walking and buried treasure www.rovertours.com. Brookgreen Gardens is beautiful and great place to go. L Belle Amie is a great vineyard in NMB where you can take a tour and do wine tastings. It%26#39;s always fun to check out a Pelican%26#39;s baseball game. Sunnydayguide.com is a great website when planning a vacation as is myrtlebeachinfo.com. If you read the ';sticky'; at the top of the forum page titled ';a locals restaurant recom for any type of food'; it will give you tons of restaurant recommendations. If you like seafood Hot Fish Club, Drunken Jacks and Lee%26#39;s Inlet Kitchen in Murrells Inlet are fabulous. Villa Romana has the best Italian food you will find! Carolina Roadhouse has wonderful steaks %26amp; salads and Nibil%26#39;s in Surfside has fantastic food. Hope this helps some. you can also call the MB Chamber of Commerce at 800-356-3016 and request a Stay and Play guide which will give you more ideas. Enjoy!

the sea thunder is also a good dolphin cruise

Or even head down to Downwind Sails (29th Ave S) and rent a Hobie....its so much fun if you are out and see a small pod of dolphin and sail over and sit and watch there antics, the staff there will help get you all set up!

:)

thanks everyone!!!!!
