Resort with 3 kids

Looking for a clean, reasonably priced resort for 2 adults and 3 children UNDER 4. Kiddie pool a must. Don%26#39;t want to cross a major road to the beach. North Myrtle a definite consideration. Any ideas/suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

ocean front.. they do have lodges.. with a bit of a walk to the beach..

however, they do have tram service..

:) I hope this helps..

Oh, You can also check out Kingston Plantation. they have a wide variety of condos.. and there is a water park on site..

Resort with 3 kids

We just got back from Sea Island on the Beach. We have two kids under three. The very large baby pool is under cover and the kids simply LOVED it. You can park your car in the garage on the same floor as your room (provided you stay on floor 6 or lower). The resort is oceanfront .

Only negative is that the doors do not have childproof locks. My 1.5 yr old wanted to open and shut the sliders to the balcony all day long. The front door does not have any sort of childproof lock either (no chain lock or device up high at all) so they can just open the door and walk out (the deadbolt unlocks when you turn the knob). That could really, really be a problem for a child who wanders or for a special needs child. It wasn%26#39;t a problem for us, more of an annoyance, but it is worth mentioning. Otherwise, the resort is very family friendly and the beach uncrowded.

Hi,

I also have three children.

We stayed one year at Sea Mist. They offer many types of pools, including children activity pools with dinosaur slides, and a waterpark on site. You would probably want an ocean-side room, because if you have a room on the Conference side of this resort, you must cross a very busy street to get to the ocean. There is an underground tunnel though. If you choose to stay here try to get a renovated room--reviews are good and bad for this place.

We also stayed at Patricia Grand resort. It is on the ocean side and has a small kiddie pool. The lazy river is indoors and is shallow 2 1/2 feet--making it quite a hit for the small children. It is also further north, so the traffic is not as busy here.

This year we will be staying at the Ocean Reef Resort. It does have a children%26#39;s activity pool and they are adding a tropical pool with a sunken ship. Can%26#39;t wait to check this place out.

Hope this helps.

-We have stayed at Compass Cove which was nice at the time and now they have upgraded. www.compasscove.com. Compared to some other places it wasn%26#39;t too expensive for the regular rooms in the Pinnacle Building. The Mariner building will be more since those are more like condos/with full kitchens, dining rooms, living rooms and separate bedrooms.

-We have also stayed at the Breakers Resort Hotel which was OK but the Paradise Towers is much better. It%26#39;s newer and cleaner. But the pool attractions are wonderful. My son loved the pirate ship last year. So we are staying there again this year at the Paradise Towers. www.breakers.com. The Boutique building is 5-6 blocks up the road from the Paradise and Resort buildings. There pools aren%26#39;t as great as they are at Paradise however if you stay there you can use all of their facilities.

-Also the Landmark from what I have heard and have driven past has wonderful pool attractions. They have been recently updated in the rooms so a lot of the negative remarks about the place may have changed since the reviews have been posted. They have this lagoon looking think through the lazy river. www.landmarkresort.com

Check out the website and they will show you the new renovations that have been done (rooms, building, etc.) OK rates as well.

-Everyone on this forum seems to like the Coral Beach Resort. They have a bowling alley and a few pool attractions that are nice for the kids.

I eould have to say Coral bEach resort. They hav everything for kids from pools, to jungle gyms to arcade to bowling alley. There outdoor kiddie pools are are pretty good size also. Have fun.

Just returned from a MB vacation with little kids. We stayed at the Embassy Suites at Kingston Plantation. It is very family friendly. There are several pools, a lazy river and an interactive kids splash pool. The hotel is right on the beach. Breakfast is included and a nice bonus for eating out with children. The rooms have a living room and seperate bedroom which is nice for nap time. The hotel was busy, but our room was always very quiet. The website is www.kingstonplantation.com Hope this helps.
