we will be hitting richmond somewhere around 9 am tomorrow. Should we stay on 95 or use 295. is traffic so bad we should think about leaving earlier? thanks

RIC traffic is not very bad at all (nothing like DC). Don%26#39;t bother with 295.

I go through frequently on 95 and have never regreted it except for once when, unfortunately, there was an accident.

Stick with I-95. The views of Richmond are interesting, too.

295 is only necessary when there is construction in the Richmond city limits or Petersburg area.

If you aren%26#39;t sure about construction, try contacting your local AAA (or CAA). They will tell you all construction occuring along the highways you plan to take.
