4-star resorts please

Can someone local to the area or someone who vacations in Myrtle Beach often recommend at least a couple of extra nice oceanfront resorts for us to spend a special family reunion together this summer. Would like the resort to offer something for adults and teens. Would prefer accommodations to have the feel of a condo and not outdated. Thanks for any recommendations.

4-star resorts please

Cora lBEach would be a good offer. They have newly renovated rooms and many things to do. They have a bowling alley, arcade, pools, general store, resturants, pool side karoke, and many more items. You can also read some of there reviews on the left hand side of the page. good luck.

4-star resorts please

I meant Coral Beach. Sorry.

Hampton Inn %26amp; Suites Oceanfront has GORGEOUS suites, VERY clean and a very friendly staff. Definately a top notch hotel. A wonderful breakfast is included as well. Rated the #1 hotel in MB. The 2 bedrooms suites are so nice and comfortable...they have bed space for 8.

If you are looking at ';4 Star'; properties I would suggest the following...

The Marriott at Grande Dunes

82nd Ave N and Ocean Blvd

really nice property, great beach front, spa on site, great golf deals, nice pool area.

The Sea Island Inn

58th Ave N and Ocean Blvd

Brand new! Opens May 1st. This property totally renov from the ground up...great restaurant on site, used to offer a number of daily programs, and I%26#39;m sure they will continue to do so.

The Hampton Inn and Suites OF

18th Ave S and Ocean Blvd

Probably one of the nicest hotels on the south end. Roomy suites, excellent staff.

I%26#39;m sure that you%26#39;ll have other suggestions...you may even think of renting large beach house or condos -- I know we had a family get together a few years back and did the beach house thing...it was alot of fun!

A good map to get an idea of locations of various places is our bus route map:

Have fun with the family! :)

Once again, Kingston Plantation. Margate has 4 bedroom units right on the ocean. As does Brighton. Windermere has some 4 bedroom units that are oceanview and most have gorgeous interiors. We prefer Windermere as unlike some folks we don%26#39;t want to be right on the ocean. The fireworks every night get tiresome. We like being able to walk right out to our car without fussing with the elevators. We are a family of 6 and it%26#39;s a nuisance to drag all those groceries and luggage up to the condos. However, to each their own and Kingston has a great variety of units.

kingstonplantation.com or vrbo.com are 2 sites that I would recommend you look at.

Lots of people love Hampton but it%26#39;s too small for us. We prefer the ';home away from home'; feel that we get when we stay in a townhouse or villa.

The water features at Kingston are great and they have many types of activites available all summer. There are 2 restaurants on site. The Tanger Outlets are 1 mile away as is Walmart. There%26#39;s a great place to eat called Southern Market (our favorite lunch spot) 1 mile on the other side of Kingston. If this is your first trip to Myrtle Beach I hope you have a fabulous time! We%26#39;re been going there for nearly 20 years and we drive 12 hours to get there!

Crescent Shores

Just returned from the Kingston Plantation Embassy Suites. This would be a great place for a family reunion. As an earlier post said, there are condos also at Kingston Plantation, but if you want to be together during the day, but seperate at night the Embassy is a good choice. The hotel is clean, updated, right on the ocean, many pools and eating options.

To illious, Southern Market is closed.I believe the owner died.

Two more upper tier resorts are Southwind and Maissons Se Mur.

Keep in mind the section around Kingston Plantation can be hell getting in and out of in the summertime.

I knew about Southern Market closing, didn%26#39;t know it was because the owner died. Very sad. I will really miss it there.
