2 girlfriends and i are taking a 4 day roadtrip to charleston for a getaway. i would love to stay somewhere where there is a view of water.
we would love to sit on a balcony or porch and just leave our stress behind.
we are also looking forward to immersing ourselves in beautiful charleston.
where do you suggest we stay?

You may want to try the Belvidere. Here is their website. http://www.belvidereclub.com. It is actually in Mt. Pleasant, but has the ambience you want. It is not dowtown, but it has a view of the water and those porches you want. The only other hotel with views and balconies is probably HarborView Inn and I don%26#39;t know if they have a large enough room for 3 on the penthouse level where the balconies are overlooking the water. Other options included Kiawah Island%26#39;s Sanctuary, which is quite expensive if you water water views with a balcony. There are plenty of downtown hotels with balconies, but not really any with water views.
