Myself and a couple of friends are looking to work in Myrtle beach in the summer. Do you know any good places to work and have a good time? Thnnks

If you mean restaurants with entertainment try Hardrock Cafe,Margarittaville,Senor Frog,Cheeseburger In Paradise,Dicks Last Resort but I believe Villa Mare will be looking for summer help and while I wouldn%26#39;t consider it a fun place the owner is a great guy and will treat you well.

Myrtle Beach has a number of options for summer employment....lifeguard, restaurant, hotel, watersports, transportation, construction, you name it! If it werent for our J1%26#39;s (international students and workers) we%26#39;d be a mess here at the beach!

A few options to search for employment. Probably one of the largest employers of international students is Burroughs and Chapin. They own Myrtle Waves (waterpark), Nascar Speedpark (go carts), SouthBeach (timeshare), a number of mini golf and regular golf courses, the area that houses Broadway at the Beach, and alot more...their website is

Large job fair will be held here on March 29th....so if you are in town then, its at the MB Convention Center.

Seems like most of the people that I have run into in the past years from other countries have had a great time working and living at the beach...its such a cultural melting pot in the summer here! Great hangout place for them is a place called BoDo%26#39;s its dowtown right across from the Pavilion..a bit of a dive, but alot of fun!

Thanks for you help. Taken me a while to get back to this post but we did try and find jobs online and were unsuccessful!

We do have our J-1 visa however so are still coming to the beach to try and find a place to stay and some decent jobs!

That would be a fantastic help but the only problem is that we leave for the U.S this Tuesday the 6th and are hoping to be in Myrtle Beach by the 8th June!
