We are going to Mrytle Beach in Sept., staying at Water%26#39;s Edge condos. Really looking forward to just relaxing on the beach, but I do like to visit aquariums as I love the ocean and all it contains. Can any one recommend the Myrtle Beach Aquarium? Is it worth the money? Are the creatures well cared for?
Aquarium?
The Ripley%26#39;s Aquarium is awsome. Well worth teh $12 i think it cost. Its really impressive. My wife and I love going there every year... I highly recommend it. Check the coupon books for a coupon to save a buck or two....
Aquarium?
Great idea! Where do you get those coupon books?
I disagree. I found the aquarium way to crowed. The little kids could not see anything for the hoards of people. Adults knocking them down, pushing them out of the way. My hubby and I had to put them on our shoulders to see anything but rude peoples back sides.
We had a great time at Ripleys Aquarium. You could ask the
ticket box people when a good time to go would be. They should
know when its likely to be most crowded.
Very nice and interesting. My kids loved the moving sidewalk as
we went thru.
You can get those coupons at your hotel front desk or at the visitors center at Broadway At the Beach.
And all the creatures looked like they were very well cared for.
(and September should not be crowded at all! Good time to go!!)
Ripley%26#39;s Aquarium is pretty good. It can be crowded, but Sept. won%26#39;t be bad. VERY good for kids (petting/touching stingrays and horseshoe crabs) and great for adults also.
We went to the Aquarium in early May with our two children (4 and 2) and they loved it! Well worth the price of admission. It was busy with children on school trips, but we arrived when they first opened (9am) and it didn%26#39;t get really busy until 11am.
Ripleys Aquiram is great. You can get the coupons in the lobby of most hotels or at Myrtle BEach information centers.
Be sure to check the schedule of all the feedings and classroom presentations that will happen during your visit. This will really make the experience a truly memorable one!
:)
Ripley%26#39;s Aquarrium is a great place to visit and yes, the animals are well cared for. As MBC said, be sure to check the schedules of when the shows and feedings are as they are always very fun to watch! Enjoy!
We love it. We go every year, infact this year my 5 year old has already asked if we will be going this year (our trip is July 4th week). We have seen the fish feed, and touched animals. It is a fun half day and a great way to get out of the mid day sun with little ones. Although it is a bit pricey, we love it, Enjoy!
