Coral Beach - Cockroaches?

I just read a review about cockroaches in one of the rooms at Coral Beach Resort and they also thought the linens were dirty and carpet sticky.

Anyone that has stayed there recently, can you please provide your opinion to how your room was?

I leave with my family in 2 weeks and I am getting a little nervous. I don%26#39;t care if the rooms are small but I do want a clean, bug-free room.

We stayed there in Feburary and every year before that and tlhey have the cleanest rooms in Myrtle Beach. I am a clean freak when it comes to hotel rooms and I anit NEVER had any problems at all with Coral Beach!

I would not worry if I was you.

Think there is a bug that is pretty common down there. Palmetto Bug I think it%26#39;s called.

Part of the roach family but not as nasty. Much larger but I don%26#39;t think seeing them is a matter of lack of good housekeeping.

Have heard many people complain about roaches when it was a Palmetto they had seen.

We have then were I ive in Upstate SC. We call them water bugs here. They look like huge cockroaches but the are not. We captured one and took it the the animal control place and they said that they anit harmful or nothing. They are very common in SC.

Yes, it is the Palmetto Bug you are refering to. It is actually SC%26#39;s state bug! :-)
