I am re-posting because of problems with someone responding with unhelpful info - would appreciate solid advice. Thanks!
Three of us (50ish) women are planning a trip to the Myrtle Beach area Aug. 12-19. Want a two bedroom condo with a nice oceanfront balcony and a nice LARGE oceanfront pool. Have been to the Buena Vista and Ashworth - both were nice but the pools were very, very small, considering the size of the complexes. Really need some ideas and welcome any advice! Thanks!
Help w/Oceanfront Condo - Must Have LARGE Oceanfront Pool
Cant really think of any with HUGE OF pools....but the Monteray Bay does have a fairly decent sized pool...nice property. The Grande Shores is also decent....maybe some others on this forum will have additional suggestions.

Help w/Oceanfront Condo - Must Have LARGE Oceanfront Pool
I think the problem is that you state that it MUST be oceanfront. That really cuts down on what%26#39;s available. If a resort has an oceanfront site, taking up space for a pool also on the oceanfront is not the most profitable use of the land.
Also, do you need it to be large and deep enough to dive? Large, but not necessarily deep, enough to swim laps without being bothered with a lot of children jumping in and out, or do you just want it large enough to have plenty of room around it for lounging without having to hunt for chairs?
Take a look at Fairfirld SeaWatch Plantation... oceanfront, 5 large outdoor pools, 2 indoor pools, 2 lazy rivers, 2 indoor whirlpools and 9 outdoor whirlpool and a nice view from the oceanside restaurant in the North Tower. It%26#39;s located about 1 mile south of Barefoot Landing on the oceanfront. Barefoot North tower has a very nice poll but it%26#39;s not oceanfront but it%26#39;s behind Barefoot Landing and the waterway. .........hopefully Harrisburg native Marcus Stone will have a big year at NCSU....GO PACK!
nice ';pool';
Thanks all - will certainly check out all these places..... and yes - I am a lap swimmer so that%26#39;s why I want a larger poo!
Check Out Roxanne Towers in Myrtle beach. They are Highly rated by tripadvisor and are directly oceanfront!
To get cheaper rates I you can look for them on VRBO.com (vacation rentals by owners). Have had very good experiences with them.
Have you been to Ocean Creek Resort? North Myrtle...been heading there for over 20 years - the largest pool is closest to the ocean-huge complex, but if you stay in either the North or South Towers you just have a short walk to the pool and beach. Yes, VRBO.com lists some excellent condo%26#39;s.
I just heard good things about this hotel and it has 2 really large 115 foot pools. www.reefmyrtlebeach.com Dont know if your still looking but I thought I would post anyway.
Thanks! Will check it out.
ju222 the outdoor pool is long. THe hotel is in a great location. I just stayed there in March. The only problem is that the rooms need some major renovations done. The price is also cheap compared to other hotels.
