lighthouses

Hello - traveling to MB next week and was wondering if there are any lighthouses on the coast close by.

Thank you!

lighthouses

i don%26#39;t know smokiesgrl... but maybe i%26#39;ll see you there!

lighthouses

You do have a few...there is the lighthouse at Georgetown (about 20 minutes south) only reachable by water....a bit further south near Charleston you have the Sullivans Island Lighthouse, and a bit north, you have the Hatteras Lighthouse, on the outer banks in NC

:)

Thanks MB for the info.

Hey Irish! We are staying at Ocean Creek. Where will you all be?

Smokiesgrl, there is a light house located at Coquina Harbor in Little River. Drive north across the Intracoastal Waterway, stay on rt. 17 N. The light house will be on your right approx 2 miles after crossing the waterway.

Enjoy your stay!

We%26#39;re staying at Ocean Creek too. We will be arriving on June 20th. Enjoy your stay. Let us know how you liked it when you get back...

Hi Sue - I return on Father%26#39;s Day - unless I get ';stuck'; in the mountains on my way home (Tee Hee). Love it there. I hope we have picked a nice place in Ocean Creek - it sure looks nice. We are renting a 2br condo.

Leave a day or 2 earlier or stay a day of 2 longer and visit the lighthouses on the NC coast....6 are still operational. There%26#39;s old Baldy at Bald head Island, Cape Hatteras in Buxton off Hwy. 12, Brodie Island north of Oregon Inlet of Hwy. 12, Ocracoke a great island that was Blackbeard%26#39;s home port accessible by 3 free ferries from Swans Qusrter, Hatteras or Cedar Island, Currituck - north of Kitty Hawk at Whale Head Bay, Cape Lookout accessible by cheap private ferries from Harkers Island, Prices Creek, Oak Island at Caswell Beach, Roanoke River (private) now in Edenton and a couple of replicas near Manteo of Roanoke Lighthouses.
